What is the difference between Pull Scanning and Push Scanning?

Pull Scanning: This is the retrieval of the scanned document which is initiated at the user's computer and is "pulled" from the scanner.

Push Scanning: This is where the scanned document is transmitted or pushed to a destination which is usually initiated from the control panel of the user's product.
