Troubleshooting Scan to PC (Push Scan)

First, check whether it is possible to perform a push scan to another PC with the same problematic scanner.

Trying this can help to determine if the problem is with the PC or the scanner.

If there are no other PCs, please skip this item. If it is possible to perform a push scan with this, there might be a problem with the PC.

Next, check whether it is possible to perform a push scan from another scanner with the same problematic PC.

Trying this can help to determine if the problem is with the scanner or network settings.

If there are no other scanners, please skip this item. If it is possible to perform a push scan with this, there might be a problem with the scanner.

Also, try connecting the scanner and the PC by Wi-Fi Direct, and check whether it is possible to perform a push scan.

If the scanner does not support wireless connectivity then please skip this item. If it is possible to perform a push scan with this, there might be a problem with the network environment (Router/Access point settings).

Where possible please connect the scanner to a different Router/Access point, then try whether push scanning is possible or not.

This will help to determine whether there is a problem with the network settings.

If it is possible to perform a push scan with this, there might be a problem with the Router/Access point network settings.

Open Epson Scan2 and check if the connection is possible and if a scan can be performed from the PC (Pull Scan).

If scanning can still not be performed then there is a high possibility that the phenomenon is related to the scanner.

Please check for any product firmware updates.

In order to perform a Push Scan from the product to the PC the Epson Event Manager software needs to be installed.

Epson Event Manager will receive an event that a button on the scanner is pressed and then process the requested operation.

Note:
Windows users: Please ensure that the EPSON Event Manager icon is displayed in the notification area of the Windows taskbar/system tray before you press the Push-Scan button. To use the Scan to PC function(s), EPSON Event Manager needs to be ready to scan.

Please open Epson Event Manager and check to make sure the correct scanner is selected and select "Network Scan Settings":

In the "Network Scan Settings" screen please make sure the "Enable Network Scan" is ticked and a "Network Scan Name" has been applied.

Note:
The Network Scan Name is required as it will be the name displayed on the product control panel when you use one of the Scan to PC functions. This must also be an Alphanumeric name such as “Computer1” or “HomePC12”

Confirm if the following port settings on the PC are set to open.

Note:
If the above-mentioned ports are not open then this may interrupt the communication process.

Depending on the wireless LAN interface, communication may be lost if power saving is enabled on the PC Network Interface Card (NIC).

Please confirm if the following settings are enabled or not. If they are enabled, disabling them may solve the phenomenon.
